| WELCOME TO SALZBURG The city of Salzburg gained international fame by its festivals:
Throughout centuries Salzburg's archbishops have contributed greatly to the impressive appearance of their city. The old town of Salzburg survived to a great extent until today. Salzburg has so much to look at: the Cathedral in early baroque style, the 'Residenz' Palace, the Collegiate Church and Abbey of St Peter, St Peter's Cementry with the catacombs, the Nonnberg Benedictine Abbey (which is still inhabited by nuns) with the late gothic church, the mighty Fortress Hohensalzburg, the 'Kollegien' church which was built by Fischer von Erlach, the 'Mirabell' Palace with the Mirabell Garden - an example of baroque horticulture - and of course Mozart's birthplace at Getreidegasse 9 and Mozarts House at the Makart Platz. These houses are open for visitors and show interesting exhibitions. Even now Salzburg is worth to visit, to discover the sights and the attractions and enjoying the cultural events and exhibitions. Alexander von Humboldt praised Salzburg as being 'one of the three most beautiful regions in the world'. Combine music of Mozart and relaxation as you explore our romantic town and immerse in the spa and health resort 'RupertusTherme". This attraction is reachable within 10 Minutes by car from our hotel. If you would like to visit Salzburg we inform you about interesting places, worth seeing attractions and sport opportunities. In the old town of Salzburg you find spacious squares, expanded palaces and wide streets in the former court district and small lanes with medieval buildings and lovely courtyards decorated with arcades in the ancient merchant settlement.
